Păltiniş

At 1440 m in altitude, Păltiniş is the highest mountain resort in Romania. It is also the oldest, founded by Germans in 1894. Its beautiful location, fresh air, and numerous hiking opportunities, have made Paltinis a favorite for everyone.

Păltiniş is fairly easy to access from Sibiu, situated at 32 km North - West from Sibiu. On the way to Paltinis from Sibiu you go through Răşinari, a typical Romanian village, birthplace of Octavian Goga and Emil Cioran.

The snow-white mountaintops of Romania are a pure snowboarding or skiing delight. This ski mountain is a petite place with a friendly workforce, a delightful workout and an opportunity to spend some time in the wilderness surpasses anything.

Mărginimea Sibiului

Unique ethnographic area in Romania, located in south-western county of Sibiu, Mărginimea Sibiului includes 18 localities: Boita, Sadu, Sadu River, Tălmaciu, Talmacel, Răşinari, Poplaca, River Mouth, Orlat, Fântânele Sibiel, Vale Sălişte Gales , Tilisca, Rod, Poiana Sibiu and Jina. The eastern limit is Boita village and the western boundary is shared Jina, with its border river Sebes.

Most of the villages in Mărginimea Sibiului have kept strong spiritual and ethno-folk traditions, giving these communities a unique physiognomy.

Geographic charming, purity of nature and humans, the accessibility of places, the rich and diverse cultural heritage, make Mărginimea Sibiului an area with high tourism potential.

Răşinari

On the road Păltiniş from Sibiu, you will pass through Rasinari, a typical Romanian village, the birthplace of Octavian Goga and Emil Cioran.

Sibiu

Sibiu is one of the most important cultural and religious centres in Romania and was designated European Capital of Culture for the year 2007 together with Luxembourg.
